Meg Coffey is a trainer, lecturer, media commentator, award-winning entrepreneur and regular on Australia's business speaking circuit. Texan by birth and Australian by choice, she is managing director of social and digital marketing agency Coffey & Tea, delivering training and developing campaigns that enable Australian businesses to compete on the global stage. Coffey & Tea is both Meg's dream and her passion. From helping businesses build strong, successful social media and marketing channels to providing tailored expert training, workshops and seminars and developing bespoke strategic solutions, Meg loves nothing more than helping tourism, hospitality and lifestyle brands grow and thrive in the dynamic and exciting state of WA. She is also the founder of #SMPerth, the free digital-marketing knowledge-sharing network. An ideal platform for Meg's unique brand of social and digital marketing training, the growing 5000-strong community inspires and nurtures Australia's next generation of digital marketers. These successes led to what is arguably Meg's greatest achievement to date: State of Social. Hosted at Perth's flagship Optus Stadium, the State of Social event is Australia's 'most unconferencey conference', bringing together the stars of digital marketing and redefining the word 'conference' in the process. Meg was shortlisted in the 2014 WAToday Entrepreneur & Innovator Awards for the Curtin Growth Entrepreneur Award. She was voted one of Perth's 100 Most Influential in the Nifnex Awards. She was also a finalist for both Coffey & Tea and Social Media Perth in the 23rd Belmont & Western Australian Small Business Awards 2016. She was named as one of Inside Business' 2017 Top 50 Australian Small Business Leaders. Meg has been asked to judge submissions for numerous programs including the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards and Property Council of Australia Retail Awards. In early 2016 she completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, a testament to her commitment to professional development. She served as the PR & Communications Director for Skal International's Perth Chapter from 2012-2015 and was a Dame de la Chaîne in La Chaîne des Rôtisseur from 2012-2016. She has also served as the Marketing & Communications Manager for Leederville Connect and was a WA State Advisory Councillor for the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI WASAC). Meg is a regular contributor to media having recently appeared on Sunrise, The Today Show, Channel Nine News, 6PR and the Daily Telegraph.
